Auto accidents claim innocent young lives

Auto accidents claim innocent young lives

Georgia parents would likely admit that being involved in a crash that injures or kills their child is one of their greatest fears. Most parents go to great lengths to keep their children safe while traveling. While proper child safety seats and conscientious driving can go a long way to keeping young passengers safe, there is no guarantee of survival in a crash. When auto accidents are the result of another driver’s criminal behavior, innocent children can suffer severe injury or death.

Recently, a Georgia woman was driving under the influence of alcohol. Police state that the woman has a career as a psychologist that assists people dealing with addiction. Due to her profession, she likely had a good understanding of how dangerous drinking and driving can be; however, she chose to get behind the wheel anyway.

The woman caused an accident with a vehicle driven by a Georgia mother. Her young son was in the back seat. The mother suffered injury as a result of the crash but survived. The child was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but he died of injuries suffered a short time later.

Auto accidents that cause injury or death can be an emotional roller coaster for the victims. Families may be thankful that one victim survived but deeply saddened over a family member that lost his or her life. Victims and their families may want to contact a compassionate attorney who can help them deal with medical bills, funeral expenses and legal matters as they attempt to hold the at-fault drivers responsible for their actions in a court of law.
