Veterans the victims of medical malpractice

Veterans the victims of medical malpractice

America is the “land of the free and the home of the brave,” and citizens in modern times owe a great deal of gratitude to the brave men and women who served in the military to protect the freedoms to which we have become accustomed. Veterans serve the country they love, and when they are finished, they often require special care. VA hospitals and medical facilities are meant to ensure that veterans receive proper medical attention, but one Georgia VA hospital has been accused of medical malpractice

The hospital includes doctors and dentists who provide oral care to veterans. An investigation revealed that, in the past year, several veterans left worse off than they came. For some reason, the facility removed the wrong teeth for numerous patients.

One man was to have several teeth pulled, and when he woke up, he discovered that all of the teeth had been removed on his lower jaw. That means that eight extra teeth were pulled for seemingly no reason. He is one of many patients who experienced similar trouble. Experts say that this sort of mistake leaves a patient in danger of infection or other troubles for no reason. Representatives from the facility apologized but could not explain why this was a recurring problem.

When a Georgia resident has been harmed by a medical professional who was entrusted to provide care, he or she may want to take legal action. In many cases, an experienced medical malpractice attorney can go to bat on behalf of a victim in a court of law. An attorney can help a client face the responsible party in a court of law, and help a victim collect any damages or compensation to which he or she may be entitled.
